Somewhere Special Today I'Ve Been
The wind it ruffles through my hair
And blows around without a care
The birds they sing
The leaves do dance
Escaped I have
My brain a chance
To silence thoughts that run around
To quieten off the noisy sounds
Of life
Of love
Of all things else
Now I can be just of self
The trees they tower over me
I feel that here I can just be
The here and now
In present times
I listen in to all the signs
I'm thankful for this time and space
A smile appears upon my face
I rest
I breathe
I drink it in
Somewhere special today I've been.
