Somewhere Near Forever

"Letting go" isn't 
easy
     but it's something one
must do
   if one wishers 
to achieve the goal
Hanging on to the past
    is a sure road 
to 
despair
    Let joys fly 
from your hands
   as well as your 
sorrows
  You'll find peace
      somewhere near forever
and, yes, at times
the road will be rocky
   and lined with thorns
it's hard to shake off
the growth of things
    which has gone 
on for many years
    But as I said before
  somewhere near 
forever
       is the place where
you can touch joy
     and I'm sure 
you'll make it through 
 the rainfall of today 
and tomorrow
