Somewhere In Spite
From the first toll, I gave it my infinite measurement
But after time passes, the results prove I was hesitant
The president, of never winning the loser at the most
Before the burn even started, it was obvious he was toast
You're one to boast, one to follow but never the one to lead
Lead me on a different path, now you got me begging on my knees
I plead, for a little mercy before my soul turns to a ghost
Leave me to be alone, and let me continue on with the notes
And it shows, the guilt you have but it was predictable
The way you left me stranded but I deserved it, it's so despicable
But on the differential, I still miss the way you laugh
But you wont be laughing after this poetry shows you that,
In spite, I fell for it but I'm not gonna be falling again,
If I can handle the dizziness I can handle the spin,
And in, the middle of it all I wanna have peace
But until then you got me handcuffed, how does that sound, Chief?
There's only so much that I can withhold and handle
Put piece by piece, you took me apart now my soul is dismantled
Lit the candle, thats burning away at me singeing fast
10th degree burns, I'm disengrating while you laugh
Whats it like? Knowing that you burnt someone to ash?
Slithering snake, sent to hiss all over my grass
I ask, through the slit in your eyes dialating your pupils,
What do you see when wake in the morning? Muddy puddles, or new pools?
Get this, I cared more than I could bare but it wasnt enough
In the end, it doesnt matter, so whatever it's tough
Doesnt matter how rough, I lost so now you're scheduled for the hearse
But for now I'm hurt, you're the coffin riding inside of my verse
