Sometimes I Want To Go Home
Sometimes I Want to go Home
Sometimes the road seems long, so long;
As this dark world I roam.
I long to be through with this turbulent race,
And oh, how I want to go home.
To go home, ad to be rid of it all,
To leave all my trouble I sigh;
To go home, and kneel at the feet of my Lord;
My Heart within me cries.
Sometimes when things get the best of me,
And I don’t know what to do.
I want to go home, to that glad land above;
I wish my fight was through.
But there is much for me to do,
My labor is not yet begun.
And God will help me along the way.
Until at last I’m done.
Still at times, when the road seems rough,
As this dark world I roam.
I long to be through with this turbulent race;
Sometimes I want to go home.
