Hate always hurts the hater.
Sometimes
By Franklin Price

Sometimes you know we've gone astray
That's right, you and I
You know we'll do it more than once
Again before we die
Opinions by another
May give us room for thought
If hate's included in it
In the end it is for naught
For history shows that hating
Is not where our minds should be
Especially in the U.S.A.
The land for all and for the free
All are created equal
It's what our founders had to say
With rights to make decisions
To decide which is the way
Thinking hateful of another
Or a people as a mass
Makes us less the person we should be
Something of a pompous ass
The killings and the massacres
By radicals, future, past
Are not about religions
But by people holding fast
Hating others just because
They don't believe as you
And think that they are better dead
The Muslim, Christian, Jew
To rid the world of radicals
That exist there in all three
Need all to work together
To make a safer world for you and me
