Something To Say

I sat at my desk one dreary day ,started an email but had nothing to say. I tried and I tried, I thought and I thought,
But my trying and thinking all came to nought.
"I must have something to send", I said to myself "After all I am smart, see all those books on the shelf? "There were big books, thick books, thin books too, books so small they fit in my shoe.
Hard Books ,paper books ,books new and old. Books just purchased and books to be sold. There were books made of vinyl safe for baby to chew and books on how to build a canoe. That is just a start , so I am sure you see why when I had nothin to send it was bothering me.
I closed my eyes , gritted my teeth, squeezed my brain but I was done,
Then it came to me,why not read one?
So I reached my trembling hand towards the nook and hooked the top of the very first book, opened it pages and started at page one, that's when the real adventure begun! I read and I read ,then I read some more. Why had I not tried this before?
I was swept away to Whoville and met Sam I am,saw the Cat in the hat, even spied green eggs and ham.
I smiled at my desktop glancing that way, now I can send email, for I have something to say!
But that can wait a day or maybe two, for look at these shelves, I have reading to do.
