Something That Was Not Really There

An illusion?
You think that's what our love was?
What about all those nights in front of the fire place,
Under blankets with eggnog in our hands.
What about all those laughs and tears we shared?
And now you say our love was an illusion.
A hallucination.
Something that was not really there.
Fine!
Then forget all those things.
Forget the love we shared,
Forget how much we cared,
Forget it all!
And now,
I am happy to say,
I for one have forgotten.
