Something Precious

Diamonds are precious and rare. So are you. Would you throw away a diamond, Like you throw away your life? Your mind is as fragile as glass. Don't be the hammer to break it. Don't connect to the sins of life, But connect to the beauty of living. You are beautiful. Don't ruin it. The world has a come a long way, A good thing in terms and facts, But a bad thing if you look between the lines. There is corruption, And there is uncertainty, Maybe even fear as we walk through our lives. Beauty is often shattered, By jealousy, Maybe pure rage, Or the simple need to destroy something of light, Something good and sweet. Do we even know the definition of the word beauty? All it is now is looks, Curves and angles that are perfect, A face hidden by a veil of powder. Beauty can be looks but it can be other things. The beauty of someones personality, Of life, Of passion. And we arent the only beautiful, We are not alone on this earth, But that is often ignored.
