Something In the Silence
Something in the silence...it watches and it waits
A predator of pleasure that thrives upon my pain
Something in the silence...its eyes are everywhere
Like mirrors in a madmans maze...reflections burn like rays
Something in the silence...it swallows sanity
Misguided by a monster by the light of lunacy
Something in the silence...nightmare without a name
Every turn I take in haste leads me right back to this place
Something in the silence...is pulsing paranoia
Possessed by a power of might and strength much too strong for words
Something in the silence...both ugly and unholy
I'm searching for my stricken soul until I realize it's stolen
Something in the silence...where the sparrows sing their songs
A rat engulfed in the belly of the beast...the rattlesnakes ritual
Something in the silence...so close it cuts the air
The reaper swings his sickle setting fire to my fears
Something in the silence...soon sets my mind at peace
Death is knocking at my door...I welcome that rough beast
Something in the silence...appears and takes my hand
Agents of the afterlife show me Gods prophecies and plans
Something in the silence...tells me the way it ends
Not with a bang but a whimper
Not with a blast but barely a whisper
Something in the silence...now it speaks to me
With the silent assurance of a sleepwalker...now I rest in peace
