Something I Forgot to Tell You
I'm older now, older than most expect
and looking back I must confess
there are some things I do regret.
These senior years suddenly become
life's intermission,
the chance for last admissions.
The busyness of youth and wanting to grow up
filled the years with so much unnecessary stuff,
now, I can say - enough.
Before the years take hold
and our age gets for too old
my mind and heart must reveal the truths be told.
You were and are still
the love of my life, my soulmate that thrilled
every battle we shared up and down hill.
So now at last you know
the something I forgot to tell you as time flows
I love you so.
