Something I Don'T Have

I wanna give you something I don't have
I wanna pretend I am not sad
I wanna pretend I don't still cry at night
Over a man not worth my time
or the many tears I have shed
I wanna pretend I can give you my all
you have been there no matter what
and you deserve that much
You deserve to have me, a whole me
not a shattered and tattered broken me
I wanna pretend I have what I want
to give to you, but I am sorry
I just don't have what I want to give

Sad & powerful writing here. The battle of ones self-worthiness is so potent & dangerous if we allow ourselves to fall. Nicely written here!
