Something Bigger Than Myself
Mommy's healing hands on her sick child
Reassuring words in the middle of the night
A hot meal for the homeless, eighteen below zero
Love given to others asking for nothing in return
Its understood, for the greater good
Husband and wife making sacrifices, for the sake of the marriage
Take my coat, I have many in my closet
My neighbor needs it, he can have it
I have a few bucks, don't worry about it
Sleep here until you get back on your feet
Its understood for the greater good
Take my kidney I have two
Mom and Dad working hard, sharing love, setting an example
Tell me friend, how are you
I have the time, what do you need
Grandad feeding his bride, she can't ask
Its understood, for the greater good
When we bless others, it blesses us too
God created us, to serve others
Words cannot describe the power of love given away
When we show others we care
And that they matter
Once again
