Someplace

Every now and then take some time look back at the good and bad I' done so careless in tryin to heal a heart when I didn't know my own. Someday wake far away from hurt far from my own bed, just lay my head square in your lap, welcomed in endless dream the same we made in love of spring. You're the only one who really knew, only one that saw right through wish God'd give me another chance- go back to a wonderful then listen to you laugh, and cry dance again. Heard a familiar voice, like a whisper promising forever.. thought maybe I lost my mind this time but you know I ain't that clever. Begged the stars for an answer holding on to a belief a last embrace nothing's ever really gone all that love has to go someplace.

Exuding love and longing--missing that special someone--your poem is filled with passion, Richard. Splendidly written, a symphony of emotions:--Someday wake far away from hurt far from my own bed, just lay my head square in your lap, welcomed in endless dream the same we made in love of spring-- You're the only one who really knew, only one that saw right through ---so heartfelt, my friend. A FAVE.
