Notes About The Poem
My father left here. I feel like I will leave when around the same age that he was.

Someone Who Remembers

Someone Who Remembers

He was seventeen
 when I was born.
He has gone on,
soon I will be as he.
   A memory
in a faded Picture.

When my image
has been drawn
back unto the light
photo paper made
  from timber
Alive-only if I leave
Someone who
 Remembers.

Absolutely brilliant poetry. "When my image has been drawn back unto the light photo paper made from timber'—deliciously unique!

I relate to this honest and soulful write, Vicki. Reminds me of the song, "What's it all about, Alfie?" Oh yes, I really, really liked this poem,
