Someone Than Myself
sorry?, yes I’m sorry, sorry for the things I missed in life,
lonely?, yes I’m lonely, still alone without a loving wife,
money?, yes there’s money, enough to buy the things I need,
happy?, no not happy, in happiness I did not succeed,
good?, yes I’ve been good, , but many times misunderstood,
change?, yes I could change, change my choices if I could,
listen?, yes I would listen, listen to someone who cries,
help?, yes I would help, help to make their spirit rise,
work?, yes I have worked, worked very hard to buy a home,
now?, with all I have, with all I’ve done, I’m still alone,
hope?, yes there is hope, hope to find that someone else,
love?, yes I could love, to love some other than myself.
