Someone Stole Our Best Hound

Someone stole our best hound, he told me.
He is eight, and angry about it in a curious way.
Maybe he ran away, I suggested. Maybe no one stole him.
They did too! He argues.
How do you know?
He came home dragging the dog house they chained him to.
He might be on to something after all.

That little boy who loves his hound has a heart. Don't you just love a kid who will stand up for what he knows is right...even when he is wrong? I do.

I sure do. That dog dragged that dog house home - he was still chained to it too.
