Someday Sunday

Someday came on Sunday
for little Billy Jones.
Born with such a sickness
that started in his bones.

He used to love to smile
as he watched his friends play.
He'd look up to his mommy
and say I'll walk someday.

Instead no matter where they went
he'd say “Look over there!”
The next place they would go
pushing Billy in his chair.

Life's not always easy
sometimes there's tears we cry.
But when someday came Last Sunday
Little Billy did not die.

Billy told his mom I love you
and I'll see you again.
Then Billy when to heaven
and he ran just like the wind.

In honor of his memory
and the courage he had shone.
The someday that was Sunday
is memorialized in stone.
