Someday

So many dreams in a young child’s eyes
Innocents waiting for their lives to begin
Looking at an unknown future
Possibilities without limit
Parents say you can be whatever you want to be
Teachers tell you to work hard
Someday your hopes and dreams will come true
Life will give you what your heart desires
Marriage with the right unending love
Children who grow to be just like you
Maybe a dog who will welcome you home
Someday though can come in a flash
And it can pass by just a quick
The dreams, the hopes, the promises
Everything you heard as a child
Turn into nothing…just memories
Perhaps someday will come around again
But probably not.

Life issues out some tough lessons sometimes. This write will be understood by many people. Keep the creative and magical pen flowing. Sara
