Somebodys Moon

In your deepest darkest hour
When even shadows go to hide
If you’re ever sad and lonely
There’s nothing I won’t sacrifice

When you can’t wait until morning
To find your shelter in the sun
Please know I’ll always be here
To help you overcome

I’d rather be somebody’s moon
Help put the stars back in your eyes
Everyone can find their sun
Yet so few can see the light

Even though I’m just a man
And my days may run out soon
Till my last breath is gone
I’d rather be somebody’s moon

My sacrifice is my love
Love I hope that you can feel
Remember when you fight your battles
And life seems as if it’s all uphill

You can call me on the phone
If you’ve lost your paradise
You know I’ll be here till my end
Don’t hesitate and don’t think twice

I’d rather be somebody’s moon
Help put the stars back in your eyes
Everyone can find their sun
Yet so few can see it’s light

Even though I’m just a man
And my days may run out soon
Till my last breath is gone
I’d rather be somebody’s moon

I’d rather be somebody’s moon
As long as that somebody’s you
