Somebody Wake Me

This day I don't fight,
cannot believe I'm alright.
Yet I think about you,
what should I do?
I'm not fighting this war,
so I'm left sore.
Every poem I write,
adds another fright.
This pain I feel in my heart,
tears and rips me apart.
Sorrow and misery won't stop,
why won't the knife drop?
I sing another sorrow,
for I don't wish to live for tomorrow.
What is wrong, what is true?
Should I believe you?
Every single tear,
reminds me that death isn't near.
I forever scream,
am I in a dream?
Somebody wake me,
for I hold on stubbornly.
Somebody wake me,
for in this life I can no longer see.
