Some Respect
Our lives we may divide
But for once sit back and swallow your pride
We are family that's always true
No matter what we say or do
The years have pushed us miles apart
Even changed the feeling from the heart
For one of our own the end grows near
And from you they would like to hear
The separation no doubt will always be there
Still showing some respect only seems fair
One thing I know is very true
That is she never once judged you
Fault in her you all some how found
And now you just kick her while she's down
For you all I can feel is shame
Your excuses are all nothing but lame
How can you say you really care
When in her time of need your not there
So won't you please push the past aside
Dig deep and swallow your pride
Give this all a little thought
Time is something you really haven't got
Peace with God she has made
For each of you she's even prayed
So now won't you show some respect
Put a stop to the years of neglect!
All it takes is picking up the phone
Tell her, You Love Her and She's Not Alone!
