Some Names Annoy
I maintain some names badly annoy,
Whichever way one might them employ:
In just minutes turn one into flame
like hands and feet one's self esteem maim.
I never prayed for Dragon as name.
Charles had at me flung it as a game,
And for days I was not the same;
In the end venturous tongue to blame...
Already violent who was tame;
A vengeful impulse and what to claim:
Clear make it that I had lost prized fame
In image much worse than an old dame.
Men there are one dare not call a name
Or one might soon join The Lame:
With limps and hops back to where one came...
Such won't a good picture make nor frame.
