Some Day
This is Christmas Day just like so many others that have come this way.
It's a time to celebrate, but I must confess thoughts of you make me feel blue.
If you could be here, oh what joy! Opening the gifts wrapped on Christmas eve. You would abound with all of the gifts that those missed years would bring.
But alas we're in the physical and you the spiritual, yours is real, ours temporal.
We hold tight the memories. I laugh, I cry. Please tell me, can you see us here? I look forward to the day that will never end, you and me and all the family.
I see in my mind your shining golden face, that reflects the light of Jesus the one that sets atop the Christmas Tree...of Life.
