Some Birds
I see some birds in the sky,
I like to watch them flying by.
Way up high in the brisk air,
Flying, freely, without a care.
Flying below the clouds up there,
Going to places I wouldn't dare.
Sitting, on narrow electrical lines,
Flying in the cold, rain or shine.
I often watch them come and go,
And eat the seeds I love to throw.
Watching them gather on the ground,
Searching for bugs that crawl around.
Finding worms in fresh plowed fields,
Or the corn that it has yield.
Flying to beautiful, exotic places,
Leaving no tracks for one to trace.
Traveling over gorgeous mountain tops,
On trips that requires them to stop.
Yet, arriving in time to sing for us,
For today they seem not in a rush.
