Somberly Thoughts
Somberly thoughts forever felt
countless secrets, forever kept
lies told so many times
everyday, a committed crime
outspoken, but never discreet
always attempted, but never complete
dark mornings, bright nights
arguments settled, over civil rights
feel contrite, but 4 what reason
apologize, for the sake of being
feelings inside, that's what matters
murder, murder, then dreams shatter
timeless memories, never by me to be forgot
innocent citizens, never to be shot
ephemeral animals, haunted to be killed
dreams, dreams, dreams to be fulfilled
mistakes, mistakes to learn from
a hero, a hero to become
eccentric feelings inside myself
