Somber Song

Whilst sitting at her piano, A tune it just came out, It was so full of sadness, We all had so much doubt. Lydia was her name, She was on the way to fame, Her music was a special gift, And gave us such a lift. The townsfolk they all gathered around, To greet this girl they'd found, And she became an idol, In this little country town. One day whilst they were walking, The lane was deep in snow, The townsfolk came across this girl, It's the way she wanted to go. So now when they hear a piano, Their thoughts all turn to her, And so this Somber Story, Still causes their heart to stir.

Hey Robert thank you for the comment, this poem actually as inspired by a game I play on the net, I am on a site called Big Fish hidden object games and I played one about a girl playing the piano so I decided to write a poem about it, was surprised it turned out like it did,, Take care my friend............Vera........

Shadow this poem was inspired by a game I play on the computer, some of the headings of these games really give me ideas so I jot them down and make my own poems out of them, nothing like the games but the ideas are good thank you so much for commenting Take care.......Vera.............

Thank you so much Jan, I play Big Fish games on the net and that was one of the headings of one of the games, mind you it is nothing like the game not even the theme but it gave me an idea in my own head what to write, it took me a couple of weeks though, I must have gone over it so many times.......Vera...........

Thank you so much Aiyah, as I said to Peter it was one big struggle, it was sitting on the table for about two or three weeks, and I kept looking at it and rearranging it until Peter said send it in, so that was the end result, thank you and take care..........Vera..................
