Somber In Splendence

It's the only thing
I know why
Given all the time spent I stil try
It's never given, always earned
And those who earn it rarely deserve
The feel of love in all its grace
It's pushed me down and spit in my face

When push comes to shove I'll be standing
Leaning on the wall staring up
I admire itds beauty, envy its strength
No experience could make me that brave

It started like this:
I fell hard
For the one girl who would break my heart
I was nieve in that she loved me
I gave her my life, six years running
Though I never asked the questions
I always knew the answers

She held my heart, I had her hand
What an exchange that proved to be
I lost my mind, she found preferance
And then she set me free
