Solitude or Not

Stayed alone at home
Maybe I wasn't so alone
Wandering thoughts as I hear footsteps
Looking around, yet no one in sight
My illusion?
Beats me.
Headphones loud, eyes focused on the screen
A faint shadow passed by
Was it my imagination?
Hope so.
I look around but there's no one
As I turn around, I feel something tighten around my neck
I gasp and struggle yet I can't win
Suddenly, I turn around and there's nothing.

Interesting to know that we are never alone ~ whatever the state of our minds. I like your title & how you mirror last line with first line. ThkU for sharing. Sending Light your way, Depressed Writes. X.
