Solitude

Moonbeams dancing on a sea of ice,
In the frozen heart of my world.
Desire blinds my eyes to the truth
Elusive forms; ghost-like, haunting,
Accompany me as I move and bend and sway,
Making my way across this silent inner landscape.
No mercy for the weary.
No friendship for the lost.
No peace for the shattered.
