“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes,” - Lord Byron ************************************************************** Solitude In the silent solitude of the night I like to reside with my own steam to weather my woeful pains all alone without inflicting on anyone any ache as it is a burden I alone can fell with every breath I take I alone have to carry with solely the night as a partner to witness perhaps to abate it in the silent solitude of the night I like to dwell all alone as I can ride over waves of woes and sorrows crashing against the borders of my heart trying to drown me awake where I can crush down feats of anger raising the teasing tempo of my temperature where I can temper the tantalising breeze of joy lifting me up to the sky in the silent quietude of the night I like to stay lonely by myself as I can dream freely at my will of tomorrows without fits of anger without pangs of pains without waves of woes and sorrow without tides of suffering in the silent solitude of the night I like to live lonesome as I can see myself amidst a garden with millions of diverse flowers of colourful hues inviting me to stroll in their midst with thousands of birds of diverse species singing for me their sweetest songs alongside a river of dream with crystal clear water slithering in a silent stream in the silent solitude of the night I like to be on my own to rein in the horse of my mind trying to course by itself without knowing where to station to channel it to race at my will in the arena, in the circuit at the speed I wish in the silent solitude of the night I like being by myself to peer within the depth of my inner self stare at the inner light lying discretely within lit like a small shining star to goad my path in life to breathe new vigour to my spirit to spread sincere shine to my soul In the silent solitude of the night I like to lonely settle as in the quietude of the night my muse merrily glides down to whisper in my ears verses of age-long wisdom longing to lift the life-force paint the vibrant glow of my feelings and emotions to share with those who may wish to partake.
