Solitude

A song that echoes from a distant land,
yet close, white-crested, lapping at my feet.
Sunlight and shadow, dancing on the strand,
is this the place where Earth and Heaven meet?
In quiet solitude, though not alone,
I sense the universe amidst the foam.

Hi Peter, a lovely image of the beauty of solitude, especially 'sunlight and shadow, dancing on the strand' - and the feeling of being alone, yet not alone in the universe, very compelling~
