Solitude
How many songs have I sung,
that you have forgotten?
How many bridges have I crossed,
that you have ruined?
I tried to run away – chasing,
the elusive rainbow;
On a flowing stream – hoping,
I could find grains of gold.
I hung my head. Teardrops fell,
I looked around, forever searching;
And in no time, in anguish,
I cried, "Hey, I love you!"
And echo answered, "Hey, I love you!"
