Soliloquy

by Gibert Mapengo Mwanguku Lost in the desert like the acient Hebrews of Israel The blood clot system try to kill me internally I dig the truth and burry my pride eternally Like a sickle celled body I am pale but I survived to fight another day cocooned in a coma I can still hear my mother pray Murmuring and mumbling words of hope a sister crying out to gods please let my brother live Walking towards light but something pulling me the opposite
