Soldier Boy

Soldier Boy you are much too young
But your going off to war
Arm yourself prepare to fight
This is not a simple chore
One two three four
boys are shipping out
It’s an old war we must fight
Step up boys and shout
Helmets , vests, guns and boots
Get up on that plane boys
To Iran we go shoot
One two three four
the boys are shipping out
Armed and ready in Iran on tour
Sand and sun dust and heat
Enemies in caves and holes
Soldier boys tough on his feet
Shots ring out blood rolls
Soldier boy falls down and cries
Never killed guilt sets in
One two three four
Soldier stands no longer wise.

I don't believe in war and soldiers are only pawns for imperialists...well written poem.

Yes unfortunately war is but a game of chess hence soldiers are pawns. But the inexperienced mind leads to shattered dreams. Ty So.
