Soldier

Sitting in my cell on a cold lonely night. Here is where I realized the inward fight. I've finally realized what this life is for. Because God has made me a soldier in his mighty war. I put on all my armor and draw my sword. The Excalibur is nothing compared to Gods word. The weight of it all seems more than I can bare. But I know that when I pray Jesus is there. The Belt of Truth worn around my waist. I wear it with honor and properly in place. The Breastplate of Rightousness heavy as gold. It protects me from the arrows of the cold. The Shield of Faith I raise high above my head. If it were not for this I would already be dead. The Helmet of Salvation I received not long ago. With the word of God I strike down Satan with every blow. On my feet I wear the Gospel of Peace. Jesus is all I need to say the least. Standing on the front lines I shout out in glee. "In Gods Army I will be all I can Be." I stand tall and with honor upon Calvary Hill. I'll charge forward fearless and without yield. Life is the battlefield and the enemy is always around. That is why I fight for god and am forever heaven bound! Based on Ephesians 6:10 - 6:17 May God bless all with His love!!
