Sojourn of Pain
What to capture when you are in pain.
A flower floating into your hands as it rains.
Onslaught of self-abuse is your world of despair.
Grieving over a painful loss is now beyond your care.
Pain has driven the stake of sadness into the dark unknown.
Woven by the agony of a wonderful past as it is shown.
Remembering that a grateful life never ends.
As love approaches you with open arms as it begins.
Clutching your heart with anxious wonder.
You feel the wonderful warm embrace as you ponder.
Joyful tears flood your vision with abandonment.
Calm soft-spoken words of love are their intent.
Surrounding you are people you know with beautiful smiles.
It is the gift of affirmation that you made it through hell’s trials.
Never did you stay in the sea of hopelessness.
You have moved beyond pain to be wonderfully blessed.
It is life with a golden warmth of kindness and Love.
That has lifted your spirit in gentleness, gifted from above.
