Soft Spoken Words

Soft spoken words invite the inner ear,
Like gently flowing whispers to the heart
Longing touch of whisper'd breath on one’s neck,
Or, the sighing of a soft sibilate
Speaks emotions even more loudly than
A symphony orchestra tuning up,
In dissonance before the concert starts
Beginning with the booming overture,
Fading to the velvet curtain ascend
Speak softly so that everyone may hear.

When a teacher wants attention, all she has to do is whisper.
