Soft Shades of Olive

Soft shades of olive, emerald, and peridot Filter through the early morning gray mists, Greening of spring in my beloved meadow. A stroll through the lea tops my daily lists Some time just for me to inhale the fresh air, The one thing during winter I most missed. Amazingly refreshing to stroll without care Among the wildflowers, along a dense trail, Quiet moments reflecting, no drama or flair. This morning I inadvertently scared up quail, A most invigorating experience, without fail.

This verdant missive is delightful and insightful, and written in the most lovely way.
