Soft Glow of Moonlight

I set out to write by brightest daylight
Looked up when I'd finished -- 'twas night

Had thought to revel in sunny, blue skies
~ Gladly basked in soft glow of moonlight

I've never heard of this form. The day sure gets away quickly sometimes. Beautiful contrast.

Thanks for the comment, Juliet… The Rubai is just a modified rhyme, really. Yet it can sparkle like a gem.. Try one! Best wishes, Gershon
