Soft Black Velvet

A
memory
came to mind
   Soft
black
         velvet
upon the cheek
   We,
my deceased Aunt
and I
cut out a square
      glue
down
Florida seashells

The gathering
from sandy beach
       First visit
to the jawless ocean
  the
    laughs
with my cousins
who
i
see
    no more

          Disappearing
     shoreline
as we drive
    away
waving
      at the past
blowing
    kisses
          at the wind

Windows
   moist
with seasalt
 It
   stings
