Sod's Law

Why when waiting for a bus You ponder as the time goes on Should I walk and make no fuss Is it coming Or has it gone So off you go You start to walk All on your own No one to talk What’s that I hear, as they get near The sound of buses driving fast Then two by two they drive right past Why is it when you diligently always pack a brolly Where it stays rolled up and hiding at the bottom of your trolley The sun will always shine each day from Mondays through to Sundays But once there is no brolly at the bottom of your trolley The heavens open soaking through your coat into your undies And last of all that dreaded queue So which one will you choose Well you can always guarantee As others pass you rapidly That when you spy the till in sight She closes up and says Good Night From Eastbourne down to Arkansas Queues are the same It’s such a bore There is a law that tells you why When having no brolly rain pours from the sky And buses always come in twos To frustrate you Get you confused Sod is the reason He made the law It’s known Worldwide It is Sod’s Law…… Written 26 October 2018 Contest Strand Choice 2 Sponsor Brian Strand HONORABLE MENTION

I read the first stanza and said "This is me," then I kept reading and said, "This is REALLY me!" This is a FAV for me, my friend.
