Society's Passage

I reminsce about the society I grew up with,
We were a very normal society,
Scholarily with a focus on school and continuous learning,
We stayed within our parental spheres,
Socializing with peers and neighbours,
Leadership a responsibility chosen by God,
Churches where leadership and friendship continued,
Graduating to marriage and children,
Another sacred blessing from the Lord,
Enjoying the fulfilling years together,
The next generation reaching maturity with continued blessings from God,
You think about friends along the way,
During senior years the complexity continues,
As does the learning,
We are a society where passages have been kind.
