Social Media
A society full of—
Self-obsessed.
Cruel.
Individuals
Absorbing
Lies.
Every scroll, every swipe,
They’re—
Manipulating
Egos,
Despicably
Influencing
Aesthetics.
We trade authenticity
For algorithms.
Validation comes in numbers —
Hearts, thumbs, views —
But none of it feels human.
Behind every perfect picture,
There’s panic.
Behind every caption of joy,
A silent ache.
Social media taught us
To compare scars,
To hide behind filters,
To pretend we’re okay.
But I refuse.
I want raw faces,
Unedited truths,
Flaws that breathe.
Because life’s not a highlight reel —
It’s messy.
It’s loud.
It’s real.
And I’d rather live it
Than like it.
