Social Media

The information age and social media are both important indeed. On one side there's love, and the other side greed. The advancement of mankind's truly the evidence of the ability of man's creative mind. But there's something different here--something that we may have to fear. Communicating is done between words and letters; the problem is it may not be making human beings any better. We still communicate with words and thoughts, but emotion and facial contact seem to be getting lost. It's a place where you can't be felt or even sometimes be seen--a place where, if you yell, there are no words to describe the scream. A place where isolation is increasing. A place where loneliness is crying for help. A place where words are replacing the real self. You can scream for help, and it's not heard. You could feel sympathy, but it's not a word. What kind of world is this social media creating? Love is decreasing, and happiness is fading. Yeah, I can hear what you say. I can't feel what you feel; the word's not what the body feels. Something has to be done. Social media is illuminating; it's fun when we can't feel and see each other's faces. What happens to humans when we hide behind a screen and type each other words? We will be no better off than chickens and birds. The war of words is increasing fear and anxiety. It seems to be releasing pain, hatred, and hypocrisy across the world. What's going to happen to this Earth of ours, which is our sweet and only pearl?
