Social Media

Social media helps us all connect as slowly we all lose the skill to relate. We have a hundred or so friends that we see every detail of their lives in images rants and memes. But all we really seem to know about them is a very carefully curated version of their filtered lives. We are awed when they divorce their perfect spouse or end up in rehab. It is the lie we believe to be truth.

There are so many sad and wrong things about social media that we could do a concrete form using every letter, all eight of them but that first letter is the most appropriate letter of them F all. I couldn't help but notice that your poetry drew me in today. I don't remember if we've crossed paths, but you added poetry delights to my morning. Your talent seems to be consistent; I clicked on no lemons. CayCay

Very creative ..Jesse..the ending is so blunt but the truth...the pictures we upload are only a miniscule compared to the ones that we do not

VERY GOOD. It took me a few seconds because I mistook it for a cross at first. But it became quite clear once I started reading it. A well deserved win Congrats

Well done, Jesse. It's all about image, isn't it? Reminds me of people living beyond their means, the way they carry on you would never guess they're one paycheck away from bankruptcy.

I enjoyed your honest look at Facebook. I rarely visit Facebook. I only joined to see friend's pictures. I am an aura photographer and love all types of photography. I wish you well in the contest Jesse. : )

So true. I might just have to make this into a series for all the social media icons because I do feel like this only barely scratches the surface.
