Social graces

Save me some of that please
the social graces
Cause I can't pretend like I don't have favour
While I'm here criticising the social graces

For I've never been in the in crowd
I had to always pull my chair over the table
So that I can belong like others
But now I think I also need the social graces

So that my things make a way to the front
Cause now I'll be known by those on the table
And I'll be part of the conversation
For you only support one who is your own

So save me some of those social graces
I need more than a few if I'm to ever make it
Cause casting stones at the upper graces
Will only leave me out from enjoying this social graces
