Sober Reflection

SOBER REFLECTION As I was considering human actions, My mindset was geared towards repecaution, Replacing the position of gladness with saddened motions, I once asked father ''what was the cause of human situation'' He said '' son its because of man's imprudent reflection'', About to ask another question, But he said son ''consider your actions''. At the cemetery lays both young and old, It seems as if I was getting cold, Without hesitation I grabbed my hood, Still surveying the size of every cross mounted on each grave, I imagined the emotions of the bereaved, I sat on a stone, Calculating unachieved goals swallowed by the grave. Man ought to live and not to perish, Not leaving behind the people they cherish, To soar in anguish, But many a thing are beyond human might, Which are decided by nature, Which we humans expects positivity But sometimes it becomes negativity. Oh! Mother nature direct human actions, Allow not our days to be in few enumerations, Our wills to be clothed with medals, Guide us from the turbulent winds, And shield us from the sea's tempest, Let our merits stand the test of time, Hear the entreaties of man, Oh! Mother nature. ANYABOLU IFEANYI GENTLE A.D 2017, AUGUST 21
