Soaring like an eagle

Yes!! flowers bloom, yet they wither.
their petals fall.

I'm still standing, firm and strong.
I'm still growing, rising.

I've been watered by the sweat of my mother.
watched by God, despite my inequities.

I just want to be grateful.
Look how far I've come, and I'm still soaring like an eagle.

Blossom Monyei's poetries.
