Inspired by the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach

When I see a lone seagull Circling high above I’m reminded of Jonathan And recognize his kindred spirit As one who would not stoop For discarded french fries In a stripmall parking lot I wonder as up above he circles How grand his aspirations His dreams and fantasies As he soars the openness of the skies I often think of Jonathan And stop to wonder if I myself Am soaring to the heights I should AP: Honorable Mention 2021 Posted on May 5, 2019

Miss Line, the theme of my graduation, prom and my yearbook was Jonathan Livingston Seagull. This write brought back some great memories of 1974. Thank you.
