SOAR AND ROAR
Dreams a plenty
Dreams to soar
Soar sky high
Soar like eagle
Eagle with wings
Eagle with sharp eyes
Eyes so sad
Eyes red swollen
Swollen and round
Swollen but focused
Focused on ahead
Focused high up
Up to the sky
Up and higher
Higher on gold
Higher on happiness
Happiness is precious
Happiness is elusive
Elusive to her
Elusive on empty stomach
Stomach rumbles
Stomach always empty
Empty barren life
Empty never full
Full of tears
Full of fear
Fear unknown
Fear that engulfs
Engulfs her whole
Engulfs her dreams
Dreams her all
Dreams her life
Life down under
Life in tatters
Tatters hide skin
Tatters barely cover
Cover black sin
Cover her modesty
Modesty false pride
Modesty means nothing
Nothing beats it
Nothing surpasses
Surpasses those dreams
Surpasses that desire
Desire to rise
Desire to roar
Roar not whisper
